Movies to stream in the 1st week of November: We are in the last quarter of 2022 and November (2022) brings some of the most anticipated movies and TV series to the OTT platform. Let’s quickly take a look at all the new movies and TV shows to enjoy in week one, including Enola Holmes Netflix sequel starring Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill, Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan-1.

A film version of Agatha Christie’s play The Mousetrap comes to a halt when one of the crew is found murdered. Sam Rockwell and Saoirse Ronan play cops investigating the murder at the glamorously grimy underground theater.

As a sequel to one of the most watched Netflix movies in 2020, Millie Bobby Brown returns for her first official investigation as Enola Holmes alongside his smart, elegant sibling – Sherlock Holmes, played by Henry Cavill.

Enola Holmes 2 is an adaptation of Nancy Springer’s The Case of the Left-Handed Lady, and early reviews suggest the film is just as charming and entertaining as its predecessor. If you’ve already seen Enola Holmes, no doubt you can’t wait for the sequel, which will be released worldwide on Netflix on November 4, 2022.

Ponniyin Selvan – 1: Amazon Prime Video

Mani Ratnam’s first attempt to bring Kalki Krishnamurthy’s epic historical novel Ponniyin Selvan to the big screen was in the late 1980s but was unsuccessful. Eventually he managed to bring him to the big screen with an amazingly impressive cast that includes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayam Ravi and Prakash Raj.

Ponniyin Selvan: I dramatize the early life of Chola prince Arulmozhi Varman, played by Jayam Ravi, and veteran cinematographer Ravi Varman beautifully photographed it for the screen. After massive global box office success, Mani Ratnam’s epic drama will be available on Amazon Prime Video.

Brahmastra: Disney plus Hotstar

Release date: November 4th

Perfectly merging Hindu mythology, Ayan Mukherji’s action-fantasy romantic drama, nearly ten years in the making, brought a pause to Bollywood’s long, tedious box office breaks. It’s now available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar starting November 4th.

With Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Brahmastra: Part One Shiva marks the beginning of a new cinematic universe, The Astraverse. It was planned as the first part of an ambitious trilogy. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna Akkineni in prominent roles.

My cop: Amazon Prime

Release date: November 4th

Based on the novel of the same name by Bethan Roberts my cop stars Harry Styles, Emma Corrin and David Dawson in a storyline that involves a love triangle between a closeted cop Tom who falls in love with a museum curator. But he is forced to marry Marion, a teacher.

The cast’s performance was uniquely praised at the Toronto International Film Festival, which received mixed reviews this year.

Bullet Train: Netflix

David Leitchs Bullet Train (2022) is finally arriving on Netflix. Starring Brad Pitt, Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry, this action thriller has more in common than assassins. Set entirely on a bullet train, the film has Guy Ritchie’s props – the silliness, over-the-top characterization, mid-action slow-motion and razor-sharp one-liners.
