This month’s Paramount+ UK offering is led by two Hollywood icons, with Kevin Costner back for a fifth season of TV ratings yellowstone while Sylvester Stallone makes headlines in the gangster drama Tulsa King. Elsewhere, Michael Shannon and Jessica Chastain play two country music icons in John Hillcoat’s limited series George & Tammy.
On the movie front, the headline offering is this year’s family sequel Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which introduces some of the broader characters from the video game franchise. There’s also an early festive countdown, with the streamer releasing a slew of Christmas movies in the second half of November.

New films are coming to Paramount+ UK in November 2022
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (November 28)
After the 2020 film adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog became the highest-grossing video game movie of all time, it was a no-brainer to see Ben Schwartz’ hyperactive version of the fast-moving hero return for a sequel. This time Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) teams up with the blue Echidna Knuckles (Idris Elba) to take out Sonic, who is assisted by Fox Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey).
New TV shows are coming to Paramount+ UK in November 2022
Flowers in the Attic: The Origin (all episodes from November 1st)
The Dollanganger line of gothic novels has proved fertile ground for Lifetime in recent years, with the studio releasing a number of films based on the books. The first of them was flowers in the atticreleased in 2014 and directed by Future Obi Wan Kenobi Helmer Deborah Chow.
Exploring the events leading up to this first novel, this new four-part series follows the younger Olivia Winfield (Jemima Rooper) who is being courted by the Foxworth Hall master. Inevitably, their happy marriage soon becomes much more of a nightmare than a fantasy.
Monster High: The Animated Series (weekly from November 5th)
The teenagers of some of the most famous monsters of all time gather at the super exclusive school, Monster High, where they can all fit in and be accepted. This series explores her adventures with characters like Clawdeen Wolf, Frankie Stein and Draculaura.
Transformers: EarthSpark (episodes 1-5 starting November 14, 6-10 starting November 21)
This animated series, also available in the UK via Nickelodeon, introduces a whole new class of Transformers – the first ever to be born on Earth. The Terrans bond with their human neighbors and form whole new families.
Tulsa King (weekly from November 14th)
Sylvester Stallone becomes a gangster for this series, portraying a mafia capo named The General. After his release from prison, he’s exiled to Oklahoma and must build a whole new criminal empire away from the lights of New York City. Another offer penned by Paramount’s big name Taylor Sheridan could join the streamer’s list of flagship shows.
yellowstone S5 (weekly starting November 14)
One of the biggest TV shows on earth is back as Taylor Sheridan’s western drama returns for another season. The show continues to follow the tensions between the various communities surrounding Yellowstone Ranch in Montana, including the neighboring Indian Reservation. Kevin Costner and Kelly Reilly are among the big recurring cast members.
Adriano Imperador (all episodes from November 21)
Capping almost 50 caps for Brazil and winning Serie A for Inter Milan, Adriano was a prolific striker in the noughties. This docuseries delves into the man behind the records and traces his journey from the favelas to the top of the sport. It is a candid portrait of a man with a great love for his origins, who never wanted to forget where he came from.
JFK Murder: Minute by Minute (all episodes from November 22nd)
The assassination of US President John F. Kennedy is examined and told from multiple perspectives in this series as it examines the days, hours and minutes leading up to the famous Dallas shooting of 1963. She chronicles the stories of the chief of security after Roy Kellerman, gunman Lee Harvey Oswald, and Kennedy’s first lady Jackie before the shooting.
George & Tammy (weekly starting November 28)
George Jones and Tammy Wynette’s turbulent relationship was a huge story in the country music world. The singers were married between 1969 and 1975, but it was a union marked by Jones’ alcoholism and erratic behavior. This limited series of Lawless Director John Hillcoat is a comprehensive account of the pair and their influence on the music genre they dominated.

Paramount+ UK is releasing a different Christmas film each day for the second half of November, which is very good news indeed for people who like couples cuddling on red and green movie posters.
